Full course description
The US labor market has been steadily evolving over the past several decades as a result of economic and technological changes. Consequently, thousands of traditional job titles have become extinct or have been radically modified. This phenomenon calls for a break from traditional job placement approaches particularly for people with significant disabilities who have always been the most underemployed. The new approach involves an innovative exploration of employment opportunities unique to the new industries and the potential utilization of emerging technologies. This presentation focuses on the processes and strategies of creating employment opportunities specifically for people with disabilities that are typically regarded as incompatible with gainful employment.
